COVID-19 isn't slowing us down.

Updated: Apr 25, 2020

The Ohana team hopes that you and your teams and families are staying healthy.  Despite the disruption to our “normal” lives we wanted to share this short poem that really spoke to us.  Our hope is that you are able to take a moment to appreciate and connect with those close to you.

The good news is that we expect to be able to continue servicing your facilities for the duration of this situation.  In all of the states that have issued “shelter-in-place” laws, building maintenance and protection have been declared essential business services.  Idle buildings tend to generate issues with plumbing, HVAC, and core systems.  Additionally, vandalism and theft when not in use can generate large insurance claims.  The government wants to ensure that properties remain functional to help our economy recover quickly when this situation comes to an end.  During this time, we have added additional procedures to examine all valves, check traps to make sure they stay filled with water, look for leaks, ensure that there are no squatters or looting, and to test HVAC systems.  If you have additional risks or concerns you would like us to address for your property, please let us know.

In order to keep supporting your needs we must keep our technicians healthy.  Earlier this week we sent out new guidelines for technician engagement.  We reduced or eliminated direct technician engagement and have asked for email and phone communication during this situation.  All of our customers have been amazing, and we are so grateful for your support to keep each other healthy during this time.

One last thought.  As a small business working hard to keep employees employed during this time, we recognize that many of you have the same challenge.  We know that the economic impact can be significant for your business. We want to make sure you are aware that the Small Business Administration (SBA) is making low-interest loans to small businesses to help you through this time.

Sending positive thoughts and good vibes your way.
